Directly after a violent incident in Lac-Sabin, we meet the villagers and see the impact of the trauma through their eyes. Local grocery store manager Maryse tries to get the situation under control.

The day after the event, media, police and the curious descend on Lac-Sabin. A specialized social worker named Antoine is dispatched to help. Éric and Simone are widely stigmatized.

A week after the event, the community is in crisis management mode. Tension is palpable, brought about by fatigue, stress and fear. Antoine helps Danahée overcome her panic attacks.

Antoine’s stabilizing influence starts to bear fruit. Various secrets come to light as the collateral damage stacks up. Maryse has an idea for saving the village.

The community throws its support behind Maryse’s idea, creating a sense of solidarity. Suzanne continues her quest to understand what happened on the fateful day.

Danahée’s idea inspires Toussaint for the memorial. Antoine leaves the village and his replacement isn’t as universally liked. Laurence owns up to his substance abuse.
